STAIND The Tailgate Tour with Seether, Saint Asonia, and Tim Montana April 23, 2024, First Bank Amphitheater, Franklin, TN (US)

First Bank Amphitheater is the perfect setting for a night like this. Located inside an abandoned rock quarry, the sounds that amplify from the rock create an atmosphere that is unique to the show.

Tim Montana and his fellow band members from The Shrednecks are no strangers to Southern Rock when performing. Tim got his big break when his band ‘The Shrednecks” teamed up with Billy Gibbons in 2013. They created multiple songs, including “This Beard Came Here to Party.” A cool fact about the song is that The Boston Redsocks used it as their anthem for the 2013 World Series and a custom version of the song for the post-season. This March, the duo Tim and Billy announced their Co-Ownership of Wise River Club in Montana.

Tim has released 5 studio albums and their newest release “Savage” with Music Knox Records/BBR Music Group part of BMG Rights Management out July 12th. It is available to pre order now!

A huge supporter of our US Military Veterans and helping veterans suffering from PTSD, Tim auctioned off a custom Chris Kyle guitar that he had Gibson Guitars create. The total raised in the auction was $117,500. The proceeds went to the Guardians of Heroes Foundation, which helps wounded US Soldiers.

When Saint Asonia came on stage, a lot of fans realized they had seen them before. You may remember the lead singer, Adam Gontier, from the band Three Days Grace! Saint Asonia left nothing on reserve and exploded onto the stage in the very first step with Adam Gontier‘s distinctive voice and emotional lyrics. Playing new and old favorites, the crowds hung to every beat with anticipation for the next. From the powerful riffs and Melodic solos to the rhythmic foundation, this hard-hitting rock band truly resonated with the crowd.

Saint Asonia signed with Spinefarm Records in 2019 to produce 2 studio records and their compilation album Introvert/Extrovert in 2022. They have also had collaborations with artists like Sully Erna of Godsmack and Sharon den Adel of Within Temptation.

As the night starts to fall in the quarry, Seether takes their place and quickly lights up the pits with “Gasoline.”  Seether is one of those bands where you come to enjoy the music and ambiance and not how big and crazy the pit will get. Do not get me wrong; Seether has some hard-hitting songs that create amazing pits, but tonight they chose songs to fit the venue and tour. The fans were well receptive and rocked hit after hit.

With their 8 studio albums since 1999 and many top awards such as Artist of The Year, Best Alternative Artist, and Best Song in a Movie Soundtrack for their song “Broken” Seether is still on top and proving they are still one of the best.

I have seen Staind a few times over the years in a lot of different settings and venues. They performed acoustic performances at the CMAs, small, personalized events, and sold-out huge stadiums in several states. I have to say this was one of my favorite performances I have attended. From the moment the curtain dropped, it was one hit after another. You could feel the passion and soulfulness with every word and movement Aaron Lewis made on stage. The southern rock atmosphere, compiled with the astounding visuals on the screen, made it an all-around delightful experience.

Over the years, Staind has gone through a few changes but always stays true to what they stand for.  Since 1995, Staind has been pumping out albums and hits with many of their albums, like “Break the Cycle,” which went platinum five times, and multiple singles, making the top five on the Billboard charts. Staind has been nominated for multiple categories and won categories such as Act of the Year, Single of the Year, Video of the Year and Best Rock Video.

Staind has released 8 albums, with their current album “Confessions of the Fallen” released in 2023.  On April 19th Staind released a new song “Better Days” featuring “Dorothy” from their current album. This song is the first time Staind has a featured artist on any of their songs. You can watch the animated video here!
