HALESTORM  the Grammy winning band release their 6th studio album “Everest“,  on August 8th on Atlantic Records.

Our very own ROCKwell Unscene Magazine‘s US editor Kim Cilluffo catches up with Halestorm at The Gibson Garage in Nashville, Tennessee to chat about the long awaited release…

On August 1, 2025, Halestorm transformed Nashville‘s iconic Gibson Garage into a mini art gallery and storytelling session. Between fan-drawn sketches of Lzzy‘s Explorer guitar, Lzzy‘s original artwork, and Joe Hottinger‘s photography showcase, a band-fan connection took center stage. Fans arrived early and packed the boutique stage space for a release party celebrating their upcoming album Everest, due out on August 8 via Atlantic Records.

I had the honor of sitting down with the band for a quick interview. Yes, my nerves kicked in at the start (accidentally called JoshJoe for introductions, lol), but I quickly recovered with the band’s relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Feeling like I was talking to old friends, we had some good laughs throughout the interview and discussed what this new album meant to them, what fueled their intensity on a personal level, and what they wanted fans to take away from it.
Check out the video below to hear things straight from the band…

The members of Halestorm sat down for an intimate Q&A followed by a meet-and-greet with the anxiously awaiting fans. This release party felt deeply rooted in Gibson lore, especially since Lzzy is Gibson’s first female brand ambassador—a title she proudly enjoys. Lzzy and Joe spoke passionately about how playing Gibson guitars, such as the Legacy Pulse Echoes, on Everest. Lzzy spoke with fierce honesty about the creative process behind the new album, Everest, and working with producer Dave Cobb. This latest innovative process led to the creation of what I would call Halestorm’s most personal and self-aware album to date.

During the Q&A session, the band discusses the various styles and approaches employed during the recording process. We also learned about upcoming tour dates for the future and fun little easter eggs of things that happened on their tour with Iron Maiden and The Back to the Beginning Tour for Ozzy. Check out the link below to watch the Q&A session for yourself.

The following night, I was able to attend the current tour stop for Halestorm at FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, TN, to see how fans would react to songs they had never heard before. Six new songs were performed, including Fallen Star, WATCH OUT, Darkness Always Wins, Like a Woman Can (Live Debut), Rain Your Blood on Me, and Everest. The announcement of a new song sent the masses into a roar of excitement, and after the first notes, an instant addiction to the latest music was created, with fans craving more. Halestorn also did a tribute to the one and only Ozzy Osbourne with a cover of “Perry Mason” and several of their past hits.
wenty-two years strong with the same lineup, and the band’s hunger to keep going is on etting stronger by the minute, fueled by the loyalty they’ve cultivated over decades. Halestor oesn’t just play rock—they live it, breathe it, and now, bring it home in Everest: a record bu n stories, scars, guitars, and unwavering sole
