L.A. GUNS feat. PHIL LEWIS and TRACII GUNS Single Review ‘Let You Down’ Available for Download 7th May 2020

    Review by John Bear

L.A.GUNS feat. Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns have done it again in ‘Let You Down.’ With Tracii grounded in Denmark, ‘Adam Hamilton’ back in Los Angeles mixed the individual recordings. Proving a ‘Pandemic,’ Distance or even time difference is no match for the Gunners. Over coming all challenging elements of a global Lockdown. Showing a Master class in how it should be done. They’ve most definitely not let anyone down.                                                                                                                            This tale of unrequited love sees ‘Phil Lewis’ at his emotive best – a huge, slow-burning track, sending shivers down your spine – “Love me tonight, leave me tomorrow, that’s how it goes around” – with a broken hearted, besotted lover left in the wake and a confession of not being able to commit to love and being lonely. Tragic stuff all round. It’s not just about the vocals –  with haunting guitars and huge choruses, ‘Tracii Guns’ delivers a guitar solo to match Lewis’ tour de force performance.  L.A. GUNS  just keep getting better, like a good liquor – potent stuff – can’t wait to hear it live. If this is the benchmark for a new Album, then it’s going to be something very special.
