Single Review – RYDER – ‘Hard Time’ Available for Download NOW

    Reviewed by – Neil Franklin

Ryder is a four piece ‘Hard Rock’ band hailing from Queens, New York.  Formed in 2016. Being influenced by the likes of SABBATH, LIZZY and AEROSMITH to name a few. ‘Hard Time’ is the first single to come off their first studio album ‘Killer Karma’ which is due to be released worldwide August 2020.

I’ve got to say this song hits the spot straight from the off.  Chunky, foot stomping hard and heavy, no frills rock commercial sound, to me a similar vibe to that of BLACK STONE CHERRY… Maybe it’s James Ryder’s vocal that sends it that way.  Laced with some nice guitar parts, a great drum sound and a bass that cuts through those twin guitars, it’s a great track.  Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album. 8/10

‘Hard Time’ including bonus track ‘Crash and Burn’ (acoustic) Released 31 March 2020

Engineered and produced by Anthony Esposito ( Lynch MobAce FrehleyJake E Lee’s Red Dragon Cartel) at Obscenic Arts in Dillsburg, PA and mastered by ROGER LIAN MASTERING.
